Our Farm
Azul Acres LLC is currently not certified organic, but never uses pesticides, chemicals, herbicides, or any non-organic products or methods on the farm. We incorporate organic and biodynamic practices and companion plant methods to fight off diseases and pests. We create most of our compost for the gardens on our farm using organic matter. Our livestock has rich diets of Sunrise Farms Non-GMO feed and vegetarian food scraps.

Accepted Payment Methods for catered events and products
We accept major credit and debit cards including American Express. We also accept checks, cash and money orders.
We currently do not offer same-day or same-week catering orders.

What is your Scheduling Policy?
All events must be booked at least 30 days prior to the event date. The 50% deposit is due upon signing of the catering agreement to secure your event.

Do you provide alcohol for events?
We can offer top-notch, mixologist bartending and sommelier wine-pouring services for additional fees. We require proper ABC permits for your event and will discuss different beverage service options for your event. Typically, we have provided non-alcoholic beverages (examples are iced tea, bottled/tap water, lemonade, coffee) for events, and the event venue or host has provided the alcoholic beverages.

Do you make large event cakes or wedding cakes?
We offer cake cutting and plating for an additional per-person cake-cutting fee. We do not make wedding cakes but we do offer other dessert options.

Do you offer children’s menus for a discount?
We can make children-focused menu items, but we do not offer a discounted per-person rate for children. The per-person rate will be the same for adults and children.

What options for flatware, dinnerware, and linens do you have available to rent?
We provide compostable, sturdy white plates (square for weddings, round for more casual events) and compostable cups, thick napkins, and flatware as a standard for our events. We can offer china, glassware, and linen rental services, however, it may be in the best interest for the client to rent directly from an event rental company to meet budget costs.

Do you provide linens for the event?
We provide light gray or light green linens to cover the buffet tables which are included in the price of your catered event. This is standard unless the client has preferred linen colors already ordered for their event.

What do you do with the leftover food?
We compost, and, also, feed all vegetarian scraps to our pigs on the farm! We do not offer the leftovers for guests to take due to Servsafe and Healthcode Safety Precautions. Clients can request prior to the event to have additional “to-go” plates made and properly stored in a refrigerator for an additional per person price.

Do you source all of your ingredients from your farm for the catering events?
We source as much produce, herbs, and protein from our farm as possible for our catered events. If we cannot supply the items, we source from our neighborhood, local farmers such as Project Grows, 1Tribe Farm, and Polyface Farms.

Is Azul Acres farm an event venue?
We are a working farm and do not utilize our space for event rentals. We recommend the Cana Barn, which is just south of Staunton.
